Are "Old" Rams any good?

   This isn't specifically Dak related, although I guess it does fall
under the charter having to do with a Ram and Magnum engines and such.

   I'm looking to buy a 4x4 for winter driving and also tow duty
(~7500lbs) as well as some mild off roading. I have found a '95 RC Ram
4x4 5-speed for about $12,500, which doesn't really have any options;
no AC, no cruise, tilt, etc. About 48,000mi.

  I am also looking at a '92 Ram (first year for the Magnum, but in
the old bodystyle) which is pretty much loaded (power everything, AC,
cruise, etc.) This one is also a RC but is an auto. It also comes
with a Meyer plow, which was installed when the truck was a 2-3 years
old. They want $10,000 for this one. About 44,000mi on this one. (The
guy used it to plow his driveway and his wife used it as a grocery getter;
he had a company truck which he drove most of the time.)

   At the moment, I guess I'm leaning toward the '92 seeing as how it
comes with a lot more stuff and is cheaper, but I don't know much
about the old bodystyle. Does anyone have one or know anything about
them? Anything to watch out for? It seems to be relatively rust
free. (Its got the surface rust on all the undercarridge parts of course,
but the bodywork seems to be in nice shape.) The dealer will sell me a
48,000mi/4 year powertrain and AC warranty for $1400 w/$50 ded, or $1000
w/$200 ded.

  Oops; I forgot to mention that both trucks have 318 Magnums.

  Any advice or warnings would be greatly appreciated. :-)
