If your primary goal is towing that 4K lb trailer, then get the 5.9L. I assume
you'll be getting a 4x4 again, that would be all the more reason to go 5.9.

I've towed with my 4.7L auto 4500lbs up the grape vine (big hills). Did
alright, but I wouldn't do it on a regular basis.
