ok, ever since I put in my powertrax locker I have had some problems. When I put my 3.90 gears in, the guy noticed some of the springs were broke, powertrax replaced them. Now the same symptoms are coming up but this time it's even worse. When I go to accelerate from a stop, shifting, or cruise then back on gas the locker will separate then lock-up but really jolt the truck. This is intermittent and not all the time but pretty dangerous when going 65 b/c it also pulls the truck to the left! I talked to powertrax and they shipped me new springs but said that I need to make sure that the locker is centered correctly in the carrier. I will find out tonight but the BIG problem is that the locker was designed with no adjustment. If the locker is not centered then they suggested a new carrier in which I just had it replace under warranty about 1.5-2 years ago (before the locker was in place). There is no way I want to buy a new carrier, have it installed, and not even guaranty it will work just to get their $400 p
art to work. Does this seem weird to anyone else?
How much does a LSD, all necessary parts, and typical install cost? kind of thinking of shucking the locker instead of buying a new carrier which should be perfect!
