This might very well be the case. Let's say that the timing has an 8 bit
adjustment range, with the OEM setting at approximately the middle of the
range. 8 bits yields 256 possible levels of timing adjustment. If the JET
chip currently reaches binary 11111111 (255), that's all that's possible
with the current hardware. BTW, I have no idea what the actual bit level is
for the PCM, I just used 8 bit as an example.
