I purchased the Tire and Handling package on my 98. It does not include
fender flares (I bought them separate). It does beef up the general
"stiffness" of the steering but the truck rides beautifully anyway. It does
add the larger tires and also replaces the standard alloy rims with slightly
wider (and stronger) rims and the spare tire is changed from being a "steel"
rim to an alloy wheel that matches the rest. The package runs $230.00 on the
sticker but is much less on the invoice and worth every penny (IMO). I don't
think you can buy it as a "package" separately and it would probably be
cheaper to buy all the parts after-market rather than trying to do it through
Mopar, but I could be wrong. It may be in the preformance catalog as far as I
know.
I want to put Air Shocks under the back end of my Dak so that I can "level"
out the truck under any load. I am still looking for a set of cab-adjustable
shocks if anyone knows where I can track some down. I don't think air-shocks
will make your Dak bounce any more, just don't put too much air into them (or
too little). Had a friend with a Van that had air-shocks on it and it was
fine once they were adjusted right for whatever load he had in it.

Hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone knew if you can purchase the Tire and handling
package seperatly. I would like the fender flares, sway bars and bigger tires.
Anyone know how much it would run. I have a 97 Dak with the V-6 and it seems
the suspension is bouncy. Will this be solved with adding some new shocks. I
have some brand new air shocks with compressor left over from my 87 Nissan.
Will air shocks in the back make it worse? If anyone is interested in
purchasing them make me an offer> they are still in the boxes.
