Hehehe... Go for it Jason!!! Life's too short not to do easy and most
importantly CHEAP mods! (If you go the FABM route)

I love mine and can't do without it... I'm sure there are more efficient
systems out there but my little FABM and S hook work for me.

Yeah, but what I'm worried about is the fact that the air box collects air
through a tube that's a couple of inches across, doesn't it? Seems like if
the mouth of this tube went under water, it would act like a straw instead
and draw the water up through the intake. I heard a couple of horror
stories of previous generation Daks doing this, but they had a different
intake design (big snorkel right out the front, no square box).

Actually, the reason I asked the question is that I'm trying to justify
getting an open element. I figure it would be a lot harder to submerge that
thing than the little straw it breathes through right now.

Just play along and tell me that I absolutely need an FABM, okay? :-) (No,
seriously, I am interested in real information and experiences.)
