Hey Bill, outta curiosity, what pads did you buy from AutoZone? AZ
sells Value(crap)craft, Albany (Albany are being replaced by Duralast
pads - probably the same thing but in different boxes) We also sell
Duralast Gold - (stainless backing shims, designed as direct OE
replacements), Morse Ceramics, Performance Friction Carbon Metallics.
The reason I ask is I have zero personal experience with AZ's pads. I
have had customers complain about the ValueCrap (no surprise there) and
a few complain about the Albany pads. Biggest complaints about the
Albanys were heavy dusting and so-so wear life.
I picked up a set of PF Carbon's for the Ram, and I'm going to be
putting them on as soon as I get around to pulling the rotors and having
them resurfaced. Pads are getting thin and its not stopping as well as
it used to.
