Tailgate/Bedliner problem

I was having that problem as well. It turned out that the tailgate
piece was binding on the bed liner when closing the gate. I just
shaved off a quarter of an inch from the bottom of the tailgate
section and the problem went away. It left a quarter of an inch more
tailgate exposed, but I felt that it was either that or shave some
off of the bed liner itself. The tailgate piece was easier to remove,
so I went with that piece.
