Why I Drive A DAKOTA!

Guess I'll add mine to the growing list:

1) I've always liked Dodges and especially the newer truck styles. Also, My
father and grandfather both retired from Chrysler.

2) IMHO there's simply no better all around vehicle for what I need it to
do. Put me, the wife, the kid, the dog up front, and two snowmobiles on the
trailer behind, and all our gear in the back. It's perfect! A roomy 4 door
'sports car' that I can tow 5100 pounds with? Any day brother! As a female
co-worker said after looking at the pics on my site: "I looked at your
pictures.... Your truck kicks ass!". Got a big grin outta that one, very
out of character for her.

The truck in question:
2000 Dakota Quad Cab, SLT+, 4x4, 4.7, 5speed LSD, if it was an option I got
it MINUS bucket/leather/power seats.

Other mopars I've owned:
94 Dodge Intrepid ES (still got it, nice car, 115k no problems)
88 Dodge Daytona (testament to crumple-zones and airbags, guy crossed the
double yeller and hit me combined speed 110mph. I got out and put out
flares and directed traffic :-)
84 Dodge Omni (tboned by f150, again, no damage to my organic matter... :-)
72 Dodge Charger (Ahh yes, the high school car.. those were the days,
remember the 318 fondly)
67 Plymouth Valiant (Now this was an awesome car :-) slant 6, many many
trips to college classes when there was too much snow on the ground to ride
the motorcycle. I wish I had it now, It'd be a terrific sleeper with a
tricked out 318)
