slushbox to 5 speed

Anyone done an automatic to 5-speed conversion?

Are the cranks different in the 318 for autos and sticks or are you able
to install a pilot bushing in the existing crank?

My auto is starting to act up and rather than dish out big bucks for
another slushbox I'd rather just switch than fight. <g>
